Certification 3-Insulin Administration

Certification 3 will provide personnel with the knowledge of safe practices, procedures, and techniques for administering subcutaneous insulin.  In addition the individual will learn safe handling of sharps, signs and symptoms of subcutaneous insulin injection complications, documentation requirements, and the identification of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia along with necessary interventions.

Length of course: 4 hours

Requirements needed prior to course:

Certification 1-Current

You must pass a back ground check

High school diploma or GED

Employed by an agency or have a contract to provide services to a developmentally disabled individual.

Tuition:   $40.00
Payment is due in full by the first date of the course.Flat Rock will not reimburse for no call, no shows.
